Photos and local data
Keeplane works with the photos and videos you permit it to access in Apple Photos. It stores Keep choices, review results and small previews of confirmed deleted items on your device. Previews help identify items in Photos; they aren't backups and cannot restore originals. The app doesn't send photos, videos, previews, media dates, document text or photo locations to the developer or Mixpanel. No document recognition service, advertising or payment SDK is included in this build.
Private icloud keep sync
Keep choices, Photos cloud identifiers, choice timestamps and revisions sync through your Apple Account's private CloudKit database. A technical account identifier separates different accounts' sync queues. Original media and deletion-history previews are not uploaded by Keeplane. Review history remains local. Matching choices depends on Photos identifiers and the current Apple Account. Local reviewing remains usable when iCloud is unavailable. The developer cannot access your private CloudKit database through Apple's standard administration console.
Optional usage analytics
With your permission, Keeplane uses Mixpanel to understand how its tools are used, where reviews stop and whether users return. Analytics is off by default. It starts only after you choose to share usage, and can be disabled in Tools → Privacy & analytics without affecting cleaning, Keep or iCloud.
Collected analytics consists of explicit in-app actions, collection type (for example Videos or Screenshots), time grouping (hour/day/week/month), item counts, review/deletion outcomes, elapsed time, app version/build, OS version, device model and SDK delivery metadata. A randomly generated installation identifier links usage across sessions. It isn't your name, email, Apple Account, advertising identifier, hardware identifier or a Photos asset identifier. It is pseudonymous rather than completely anonymous.
Analytics does not include media, thumbnails, photo/video IDs, library calendar dates, album titles, recognized text, coordinates or precise location. Screen/session recording, automatic interaction capture, feature flags, advertising attribution and People profiles are disabled. IP-based geolocation is disabled; the provider still receives technical network information, including the IP used to deliver a request.
Debug and production use separate Mixpanel projects, with analytics stored in the United States. Mixpanel's standard policy for these newly created projects automatically deletes event data after two years from the event date, unless deleted earlier in response to a request. No custom 90-day retention is configured. See https://docs.mixpanel.com/docs/privacy/gdpr-compliance and https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy/.
Actions before consent or while analytics is disabled are not recorded for later backfill. Disabling analytics stops new events and retires the pending SDK queue so it will not be reused if you enable collection again. Requests already in progress may complete, and retired queue files may remain locally until app/OS removal. Turning analytics off doesn't automatically erase previously received server events. To request deletion, share the analytics ID available in the privacy screen with support. We use that ID only to identify the analytics records relevant to your request.
Your choices and recovery
Removing the app may remove local history and settings; it does not automatically erase Keep records already synced to iCloud. Revoking Photos permission also doesn't erase those records. Clearing Keep updates a choice rather than deleting its cloud record. The app has no verified erase-all-cloud-records control. Contact support for guidance; the developer cannot independently read or delete your private CloudKit database. Apple's account tools are at https://privacy.apple.com/.
Deleting media is submitted through PhotoKit after Apple's confirmation. Delete the rest excludes kept items; explicit Delete all includes them. Recovery takes place in Photos → Recently Deleted while the originals remain available, normally up to 30 days unless permanently deleted earlier. With iCloud Photos, deletion may affect other devices sharing that library. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/104967.
Support and this website
If you email support, Anton receives your address and the information you voluntarily send. It is used to answer the request, not for advertising. Correspondence is retained as needed to resolve the request and related communication, subject to legally required retention. You can request deletion by writing from the same address. Please don't send private media, passwords or verification codes.
The support website currently contains no analytics/ad scripts, forms or third-party widgets. Hosting processes technical request information to deliver and protect the site. Linked Apple sites, Mixpanel and your email provider operate under their own policies. Apple privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
